Meet the Crew - Sophia

Sophia will be celebrating her two year anniversary with Bozz Prints in July 2023. After leaving the cosmetology industry, she was looking for something new and different. Sophia saw an ad on Facebook for a part-time retail associate position at Bozz Prints and got the job! 

“I'm pretty sure my passion for small and local business is how I ended up getting the job, if we're going to be honest,” Sophia said. 

Sophia quickly moved to a full-time position. Nowadays she handles the shipping, online order fufilment and production side of Bozz Prints. Sophia is confident that if you ordered something online from us within the last year, she put it together for you.

“My favorite thing about working here at Bozz Prints is easily the environment… Not only is it a fun place to work, but the vibes are very chill and easygoing. Also, the production aspect of my job (the sleeving of prints, packaging of orders, stickering of products, etc.) scratches an itch in my brain in just the right way,” Sophia said. 

Sophia lives on Des Moines’ northside near Highland and Oak Park with her two cats, Pickle and MeeMow. In fact, Sophia has been a champion for the cat community at Bozz Prints.

“When I first started working for John, I harassed him so much about having two different dog-related Des Moines designs but no cat ones. It was blatant cat people erasure and I couldn't stand for it. So as a cat person and a Bozz Prints employee, [the Des Meownes Design] has a special place in my heart,” Sophia said. 

Outside of work, Sophia dedicates a lot of her time to her own small business, StitchCraft by Sophia. You can find her at various pop-ups and small businesses throughout the Des Moines metro and on Instagram @stitchcraftbysophia.
